After facing several obstacles in releasing his third studio project ‘Grind Flu,’ Yung Joc has announced that the album will be available for free download next week. The release will be the first project to materialise from the rapper’s own Jive imprint Swagg Team Entertainment.
Initially the album was due to be released through Bad Boy Records under the title ‘Mr. Robinson’s Neighbourhood,’ although the project was put on hold after Joc decided to take legal action against the label for failing to meet contractual obligations.
In a recent statement about the album, Yung Joc stated that he felt ‘the time was right’ to release the project for free, as a ‘gift to [his] fans.’ He continued to explain, ‘fans all over the world have been eagerly waiting’ for his next move and that it was time to take the independent route.
‘Grind Flu,’ which contains appearances from the likes of Chris Brown, Pleasure P, Bobby Valentino and Shawty Lo, will be released for download next Tuesday (August 11th).
